Amaia Unzueta

Graduated in Social Work, with a postgraduate degree in International Humanitarian Aid and an official master in Migrations, Conflicts and Social Cohesion in the Global Society. Works, since 2014, in ALBOAN Foundation supporting the Technical Secretariat of the COMPARTE network (Learning and Action Community for Alternative Development). Before, she has worked as a consultant and coopering aid worker in different organisms of international cooperation inside and outside the Basque Country.

Cecilia Martinez Arellano

Cecilia Martinez is an industrial engineer from the University of Zaragoza, Spain, and holds an MA in Ethics for Social Construction from the University of Deusto, where she is completing her doctoral studies. Her main areas of interest include corporate citizenship, organizational culture and behavior, and organizational character development.

She has worked mainly in management systems and strategic planning consultancy. For 12 years, she was a member of the Strategic Planning Team of the Society of Jesus in Basque Country and Navarre. The main goal of the team was fostering the positive social impact of the works network. In 2014 she joined the University of Deusto, where she is currently Director of Social Responsibility and a member of the research team of the Center for Applied Ethics. She is Coordinator of “Directica” a learning community on management ethical challenges.

Elisabet Mas

Teacher and researcher at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) since 2008. From 2016 she has focused on the introduction of gender perspective in curricula. Elisabet is the author of a final master project titled “Introduction of Gender Dimension in Physics and Chemistry Lectures”. She is a member of the UPC working group named Glass Ceiling. Also, she is a member of the European project GEnder Equality by means of Comunication and COmmitment (GEECCO), where Elisabet is responsible of the work package of Gender dimension in curricula. At present, she is the co-leader of a pioneer project in the UPC where 41 teachers perform the first steps towards a real introduction of gender dimension in curricula. Elisabet has done some courses on this field in the Educational Sciences Institute (ICE) at the UPC.

Giulia Sonetti

Giulia Sonetti, PhD, Msc, MArch+BArch, is chartered architect and sustainability advisor at the Green Team of Politecnico di Torino, while being a multidisciplinary assistant professor in sustainability management and evaluation currently appointed at the Interuniversity Department of Regional & Urban Studies and Planning (Turin, Italy). She has been visiting scholar at the University of Hokkaido (JP), the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (CH), the University of Cambridge (UK), the Barcelona Super Computing Centre (ESP), the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Art of Copenhagen (DK), the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NO), and the Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão (PT), while being organiser, speaker and facilitator of several shared-science and multi-stakeholder workshops around Europe. She designed and implemented many national, EU FP7 / H2020 research projects about inter-transdisciplinary approaches,  ustainability management strategies and socio-technical pathways towards a post carbon society embracing the 17 SDGs.

Jared Schoepf

Jared Schoepf is the Director of Operations for Engineering Projects in Community Service (EPICS) at Arizona State University (ASU). Jared received his PhD in Chemical Engineering at ASU, developing a tiered approach to rapidly detect nanomaterials in the environment (waste water and soil) and consumer products (food products, sunscreens, televisions, and vitamins). He has founded 2 starts ups and has 3 patents for water purification, removal of trash from storm water, and Dial’s antibacterial liquid hand soap formula. Jared has been a lecturer of EPICS for 5 years and a co-director for 2 years, mentoring over 250 teams. As a co-director, Jared develops and maintains industry connections for the industry mentorship of EPICS teams as well as offering industry led skill sessions to supplement the students learning within the EPICS program. Industry mentors teach students the skills they wished they learned while in college.

Jordi Segalàs

Jordi Segalàs (1967) is the Director of the Research Institute of Sustainability Science and Technology at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya UPC-Barcelona Tech (Spain). He is the head of the Research Group on Sustainability Education and Technology in Higher Education. He is the chair of the Sustainability working group of the European Society for Engineering Education. He has been the Director of the Catalan Research Network of Education for Sustainability. He obtained his PhD in Sustainability Education in Engineering at UPC-Barcelona Tech. He has been working in curriculum greening policies and actions plans since 2000. He is also working in Erasmus + Capacity Building and knowledge Alliances projects related to sustainable development in higher education. He has published more than 120 articles on sustainability in higher education and has more than 15 years’ experience in teaching sustainability courses in technological universities. Thomas Neitzert

Thomas Neitzert is currently the Chair of the Vice-Chancellor’s Taskforce for Sustainability at Auckland University of Technology (AUT). He is a professor emeritus of mechanical engineering and has a background of leadership positions in industry as well as academia in New Zealand and overseas.
The Taskforce for Sustainability at AUT has just completed a university wide consultation process around a Sustainability Roadmap to 2025. This document summarises the objectives and targets for sustainability in the areas of learning and teaching, research, facilities management, leadership and community engagement.

Thomas is also the President of New Zealand Engineers for Social Responsibilities Inc. and is part of the team organizing Sustainable Development Goals Summits in New Zealand.

Guilermo Mañanes Jiménez

Staff in City Council of Madrid (Spain capital city) since 1993. Graduated in Clinic Psychology and PhD in Psychology. He has been working at City Council of Madrid in different areas over the last 20 years. During this period, he has held different positions, such as technician at the Center for Attention to Drug Addicts, technician at San Isidro shelter for Attention to Homeless, technical assistant at the international Relations Office, technical assistant of the Citizen-Participation Office and head of the department of Study and Development of Good Practices. He is currently Head of the Social Projects Office, where he coordinates the Service-Learning office of the city council, leading a four-years City Council Service-Learning project in collaboration with the eight public universities in Madrid.

Eva Ferreira García

Graduated in Mathematics (University of the Basque Country, 1986), Master in Probability and Statistics (New York University, 1988) and PhD in Economics (University of the Basque Country, 1993). Professor for the University of the Basque Country (2007), teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in mathematics, probability and statistics.

Several responsibilities in Higher Education Policies and Management in the Basque Country: Member of the Rectorate Team (2004-2012), Head of UNIBASQ, (Basque Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education) (since 2015), Member of ENQA Board (European European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (since 2017) and Vicepresident of ENQA (since 2018).

José Ignacio Eguizábal

Graduated in mechanical engineering (University of Navarra, 1991), MBA Executive (Deusto University, 2002) and Master in Secondary Education (University of La Rioja, 2015). Trained in quality management systems, project management, leadership, and gender equality.

Between 1991 y 2003 I worked in several industries, mostly in the international automotive sector. I had responsibilities in the logistic, production, quality and business development areas. From 2004 to 2014 I worked at ALBOAN, International Development NGO based in Bilbao as General Manager. ALBOAN was devoted to development and humanitarian aid programs in 15 countries in Africa, Latin America and India. Education and human development, above attention of humanitarian emergencies, were its fields of operation, through local NGO. During my time in the organization, ALBOAN also developed a strong focus on education, awareness raising on social justice issues and advocacy. In January 2015, I started working at EGIBIDE, secondary and vocational formation school at Vitoria-Gasteiz, in the General Manager position since September 2016.

Óscar J. González Alcántara

He received his BS and Ph.D. degrees in Industrial Engineering from the University of Navarra and actually, he works at the Higher Polytechnic School of the University of Burgos as a tenure lecturer in the Area of Business Organization (from engineering point of view).

He has two periods of six years on research work (called “Sexenios”) from the National Committee for the Assessment of the Research Action (CNEAI), and two A+ mark periods of five years on educational work from the DOCENTIA Program of the Spanish National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA).

He is part of the Engineering and Responsible Management Research Group (grupo INGENIERÍA Y GESTIÓN RESPONSIBLE-iGR) of the University of Burgos which their most important research lines are: University Social Responsibility, Time Management, Lean Manufacturing and Occupational Accidents.

He gives conferences and teaches courses of University Social Responsibility in Spain, and their last publications on Social Responsibility are:

• The book titled “Social Responsibility at Spanish Universities 2014/15”
• The executive report titled “University Social Responsibility: from knowledge to action. Guidelines for its implementation”

both of them were developed collaborating with FORETICA, SANTANDER UNIVERSIDADES, CSR Chair of the University of Alcalá de Henares and the Economic and Social Analysis University Institute (IAES),

• And the project report titled “University Social Responsibility and its possible indicators: search and classification”
